Editorial Policy and Corrections

How AppTrajectory handles sources, illustrative examples, AI assistance, commercial relationships and corrections.

AppTrajectory publishes practical software-planning guidance intended to make decisions clearer. A useful article should explain the reader’s problem, the assumptions behind the advice and what evidence could change the conclusion.

Experience, comparisons and measurements

Personal observations are attributed to the person who supplied or recorded them. Where detailed personal evidence is unavailable, articles use source-grounded editorial analysis rather than imply undocumented testing. AI-run checks and third-party benchmarks are identified separately from the author’s own experience.

Comparisons address the same task, required capabilities and cost horizon, explaining where plans are not equivalent. Recommendations identify who should choose each option and what could change the conclusion. Measurements state their source and relevant conditions; calculations distinguish verified inputs from assumptions. Vendor specifications are not independent performance results. Affiliate commission does not determine a winner.

Source selection and factual checking

Primary records are preferred for historical facts, technical behaviour and product-specific claims. A current plan or price needs a source and a verification date. A feature list is not evidence of workflow fit. Where a source is incomplete, the uncertainty should remain visible rather than be filled with a plausible detail.

The content distinguishes confirmed requirements, assumptions, estimates, vendor claims and observed results. An observed result requires a description of the conditions and what was checked. Desk research does not support “we tested” or “we used” claims. Historical sources are dated and described as historical.

Original examples and AI assistance

Worked examples and templates are illustrative unless explicitly supported by real evidence. Invented scenario amounts are labelled and are not vendor quotes or customer results. The tools calculate user-defined inputs; they do not certify products.

AI assisted the drafting, structuring, implementation and content checks for this publication. Guides and decision tools identify Stuart Kerr Spindlow as their author; AppTrajectory is the publisher. Personal-use statements reflect information supplied by the named author. Source and arithmetic checks support factual details; specific test results require actual observations. Worked examples remain clearly identified.

Commercial separation

A payment, referral arrangement or shared publisher relationship must not be presented as independent validation. Relevant related-publication links carry a relationship note. Pages with affiliate recommendations display a short disclosure directly below the title. Commercial relationships must not buy a favourable score or replace evidence. Ordinary citations and related-publication references remain editorial links.

Report a correction

Send the page URL, the specific statement and supporting evidence to the AppTrajectory editorial inbox. Avoid private project data, passwords or tokens. Accessibility and tool-calculation reports are welcome through the same route. Mail delivery and response time are not guaranteed by this website.

Substantive corrections should identify what changed and update the revision record. Minor wording fixes need not pretend to be fresh research. Publication and modification dates should reflect actual publication and substantive revision, not an automatic build timestamp. Unresolved reports should remain in the private editorial queue until assessed.

Scope and accountability

The publication is not a substitute for decisions by the people responsible for an organisation’s legal, financial or security obligations. It should give those people a clearer record to review. Read how decisions are evaluated and who publishes AppTrajectory.
